Bill Dawson
​
Executive Director
Bill is a graduate of Memorial University’s Commerce program. Throughout his career he has held executive and business development positions in the private, public and cooperative sectors. Prior to becoming Executive Director, Bill acquired extensive project management experience within the province's forestry branch.
Outside of family, his passions are rural governance as well as the development of rural economies through sustainable management of renewable resources.
Carl Noseworthy

Business Manager
Carl has enjoyed an extensive career in the fields of business, finance, and project management. He started his career by providing accounting, auditing and tax services to chartered accounting firms before moving on to commercial lending. Included in his resume is time in the private sector as general manager with a large printing and publishing firm.
Prior to joining the NLFIA as Business Manager, Carl worked with the Centre for Forest Science and Innovation delivering project management and business support to forestry-related research projects. When not angling, he can be found enjoying time with family.
Wade Bowers

Research Manager
Wade has over 30 years in senior executive roles across government and academia at local, national and international levels. His research career encompassed transdisciplinary approaches to sustainability science and the link between science and policy. Former positions include Director with Natural Resources Canada, Assistant Deputy Minister and chief forester for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Associate Vice-Principal (Research) and Director for Memorial University's Environmental Policy Institute. Wade is the Founder and CEO of Barnett Clarke Associates (BCA), a Canadian knowledge management consulting company, located in western NL.
